Lemony Garlic Herb Chicken
Hello again everyone...it has been really hectic and my decluttering schedule has taken the hit as I don't have enough time to do what I have intended to do...sigh!!! But wait!!! I still have over 15 days to retaliate...yes and that is what I am planning to do. So I gave my self till next Wed to tackle my room and Haroon's room. I think its ambitious but since I don't have to touch hubby's stuff, its doable. He will declutter by himself so that is less chore for me to do. The plan is I will tackle the following areas:
My Bedroom
- My closet (Full 3 sides closet ...a huuuuuge sigh)
- Side dresser (two small drawers)
- Main dresser (3 drawers for me)
My bathroom
2 closets and the towels racks
I am happy to day that I did get rid of all the shampoos and other hanging stuff in the shower...you all know how it is...you buy this and that, open it and stick it in the shower so you will use it next time but you end up using other stuff as well and it stays there...collecting mildew and other ewww stuff...YUP!!! Embarrassing but the truth is nothing beats that feeling of just tackling that. What I did is that I threw any empty shampoo or other stuff bottles, I cleaned all of them from the outside, I left the stuff I really use in there and the rest I tucked away in the closet to use once my shampoos are done. Boy did that look nice and clean after...anyway...still the closet underneath the sink needs declutting in addition to all the towels. Anything that is worn out...is going OUT. Any thing that smells, will be washed (check out my post about deodorizing your towels and bringing them back to life)
Haroon's room
Now that will take time...toys, clothes, linens, books and other stuff that I have in there that are not Haroon's. He has a four doors built in closet so I am going to use 2 full ones for my extra gowns and outfits, in addition to storing all linens.
He also have a toys closet and a desk (this used to be Sultan's room) which am thinking of removing it all together to give him more space...will see how the declutting will go. I started working on his room a while back by installing a TV screen so we can watch some videos while playing, a shelf for the apple TV. I also have bought a screen tint for him in addition to a hammock, these need to be installed and I need to figure out where and how....we will see.
The kitchen
This is going to be an ongoing process through out the month...its a huge task considering the amount of stuff I have and considering that it is the place where I spend most of my time...its my zone people....
So here is how I started (the video is the part I of decluttering the kitchen highlighting the tips on how to start any decluttering process...The ESGO process
Empty the space...sort through...get rid of...organize...
So I hope it all makes sense to you and I will follow up with a part II showing you more...the other drawers...some organization tools I use (you will see some in this video) and there will be Part III for the Fridge...yup...that one needs its own vlog...
Now don't you think that I forgot about the stocking up this month...I decided to increase the amount from 50 JDs to 100 to include my business as well...so here is how I did so far this month
I didn't spend the whole 100 so I will continue to do so in April, yet my plan is to go into a cooking from pantry challenge for 2 weeks in April (the 2nd and 3rd week) and I will update you on that one. This is a great exercise before Ramadan starts...
And though I was extremely busy in the past few weeks I managed to cook and made some good meals like this delicious garlicy...lemony...herby chicken....I marinated this for 2 days in the fridge....YES and the flavor was AWESOME....
Lemony Garlic Herb Chicken
Ingredients:
1 chicken butterflied
For the marinade:
1/2 onion
5 cloves of garlic
1/2 a red pepper
zest of one lemon
lemon juice of two lemons
6 TBSP olive oil
Pepper
1 tsp Italian herbs
1 tsp sumac
I added the salt till one hour before cooking and added a tsp of butter (optional)
Directions:
Mix all marinade ingredients in the blender
Stab the chicken...hehe..in several places to allow the marinade to penetrate in the meat
Pour the marinade and cover in the fridge for up to 48 hours.
I cooked the chicken in this amazing grilling pan with no water ...nothing..just the chicken on high flame fire 5 mins in the hot pan then I lowered the heat to medium and continued to cook while flipping till its cooked through...
It turned out juicy, tangy...just full of flavor.
I served it with tons of roasted veggies in olive oil, garlic and rosemary.

تأخرت كتير عليكم بالبوستات والنية كانت انه اشارككم التموين لهاد الشهر واللي قررت انه يكون 100 دينار بدل 50 والنتيجة موجودة بالفيديو الثاني فوق...بقية المبلغ رح اكمل فيه بشهر 4 واللي ناوية اخوض فيه تحدي الطبخ من المونة لمدة اسبوعين بس ابتداءا من الاسبوع الثاني من شهر 4 وبهدف التحضير لرمضان وكل سنة وانتو سالمين...
اما عن تحدي التخلص من الاشياء اللي ما بدي اياها فماشي بس ببطئ بسبب الالتزامات والعمل... سعيدة اني اقول اني تخلصت من كتير من الاشياء من خزانتي ومن المطبخ ومن ضمنها اشياء منيحة رح ان شاء الله اتبرع فيها لاصحاب النصيب... زي قلاية كهربائية (بطلت استعملها بس جبت القلاية الهوائية) كتير من التبرويرات اللي بلا غطاية او غطايات بلا تبرويرات...مو فاهمة شو القصة بهدول الاشياء والجرابات وقصة الضياع التي لا تنتهي...اه وكمان البكل السود تبعون الشعر....جد... حد عنده تفسير؟!!!!
المهم تفاصيل الخطة تبعتي موجودة بالفيديو فوق والاستراتيجية اللي بتبعها بهاد الموضوع هي:

شوفي الاشياء كلها
افصلي الاشياء اللي بدك اياها واللي ما بدك اياها
نظمي وممكن تنظفي بالمرة
وبس العملية مش سهلة الصراحة عشان الانسان بطبيعته بيشعر بالامان بالاشياء اللي عنده...هاد اشي نفسي...
بس اذا بيضل الواحد يلملم وما يتخلص من الاشياء القديمة والمكسرة والخربانة واللي بتلملم غبر واللي صغر عليكي من الاواعي او ممكن صار اوسع (اشك؟؟؟هههههه) .... اذا ما عملنا هيك بنغرق بعالم من الفوضى

طبعا بما انه شهر 4 هو تحضيري لشهر رمضان المبارك باذن الله رح يكون فيه وصفات ممتازة تحضيرية وفيديو خاص عن الاشياء اللي بعملها قبل بوقت وبتسعفني جدا وقت ما اكون مستعجلة او تعبانة...
وبالرغم من الانشغال مؤخرا بالعمل واللي فيكم بيتابع الانستغرام بيعرف اديه انا كنت مشغولة الفترة الاخيرة... الا اني حاولت وقدر المستطاع اني اطبخ بالبيت ...اكلنا من برة مرة واحدة بس وهاد انجاز
من ضمن الاشياء اللي عملتها هالجاجة اللي بتشههههي...نقعتها 48 ساعة بالثلاجة (الدجاج كانت فريش مش مجمدة) وهاد اضاف للنكهة...
الدجاج المشوية بالليمون والثوم والاعشاب
المقادير:
دجاجة كاملة مسطحة
للنقع:
1/2 بصلة
5 حبات ثوم
1/2 فليفلة حمراء
بشر ليمونة
عصير ليمونتين
6 ملاعق طعام زيت زيتون
ملعقة صغيرة اعشاب ايطالية
ملعقة صغيرة سماق
فلفل اسود
الملح برشه قبل الطبخ بساعة
وحطيت معلقة صغيرة زبدة (اختياري)
الطريقة:
تخلط كل مكونات النقع بالخلاط
اعملي بالسكين حزوز بالدجاجة
صبي صوص النقع عليها
اتركيها على الاقل عدة ساعات او يومين زي حالاتي
انا طبختها بالقلاية اللي بتتسكر والحلو بالموضوع انه الدجاجة انطبخت بدون مي فبتطلع طرية وبتشهي وحتى زوجي اللي ما بيحب الدجاج اكل قطعتين...هاد انجااااز وام دل على شيء بيدل اديش زاكية
